The Magdalen Project Profile
Magdalen is owned by The Wessex Foundation, an environmental charity which aims to promote a deeper understanding of sustainable development and a greater appreciation of our natural and rural heritage. Old farm buildings have been sensitively converted into residential facilities and accommodation for 36 people. Outdoors, there are 132 acres of organic land to roam, a camping area, a 20 acre smallholding that provides fruit and vegetables, eggs and pork for Magdalen's excellent kitchen, an orchard newly planted with traditional local varieties and a rich and varied landscape to be explored and enjoyed.
Our experienced team develops residential and day courses tailored to meet the needs of a wide variety of user groups including - school journeys for primary schools, field trips for secondary schools and universities, team building, change management and corporate events for businesses, rural craft workshops for individuals and away days and respite care for groups with special needs.
As well as running many of our own courses the facilities are available for hire. With our experienced team, exceptional menus reflecting local, organic and seasonal produce and truly diverse surroundings to discover. The Magdalen Project is an ideal venue for a wide range of seminars, workshops, weddings and retreats.
