Women's Design Service Profile
We provide training, advice, research, guidelines, workshops and speakers to help a range of organisations in the statutory and voluntary sectors ensure that gender considerations are incorporated into their policies and practices.
Annual membership to WDS costs £5 (£1 unwaged), and allows access to the members' area of our website, use of our library for free, discounts on our publications & information about relevant events.
Our recent "Making Safer Places" project has recently culminated in a highly successful national conference. The vision behind Making Safer Places is to help create urban environments
where women feel safe to go about their everyday lives without fear.
Making Safer Places (MSP) is a community based Safety Project working in the cities of Manchester, Bristol and London. The Project delivers comprehensive training programmes in target priority regeneration areas to train small groups of local women to carry out Community Safety Audits (CSA) in their local area.
