The CROPS Trust is a Christian Educational Trust which is committed to communicating and demonstrating Christian truth and life-style to this generation of young people.
CROPS began in 1989 and was the natural development of the work in Secondary Schools which was already being undertaken by Scripture Union, Peterborough Youth for Christ and several local churches over the preceding ten years.
Over the past year we have had a complete change of staff and now have both a Primary School and Secondary School/Youth worker in post, as well as an administrator and several gap year students. Our main work is providing Christian input to schools, in the form of lessons, assemblies, lunch or after-school clubs etc. We also run an inter-church youth worship evening once a month, and a twice-yearly houseparty for secondary school pupils. We are currently assisting some 6th form pupils to run Alpha courses in their schools, and are looking for more volunteers to help with the schools work.
We are funded by churches and individuals from many of the churches in and around Peterborough, and also further afield.
