Breast Cancer Haven aims to support the physical and emotional needs of anyone affected by breast cancer. The free Haven Programme offers up to date information, counselling, education and complementary therapies to meet the needs of the Visitor before, during and after conventional medical treatment for breast cancer. By providing support and complementary therapies Breast Cancer Haven aims to help women and men affected by breast cancer transform their lives and their sense of well-being.
Breast Cancer Haven provides help and support by
Offering healthy eating advice. Healthy eating plays a vital part in ones health and many people benefit from adopting a healthier, more nutritionally balanced diet.
Supporting emotional needs. Our experienced counsellors can offer emotional and psychological support and help our Visitors find ways to meet these needs.
Supporting physical needs. Our extensive range of complementary therapies can help with many symptoms and side effects our Visitors may experience during and after their conventional medical treatment.
Providing Lymphoedema Awareness Classes. These classes cover the steps our Visitors can take and exercises they can do to minimise the risk of developing lymphoedema.
Providing information. Our Havens have up-to-date libraries and Internet access available so that our Visitors can find information, in their own time, to meet their individual needs.
