Founded in 1990, Trekforce Expeditions is a leading UK based charity dedicated to delivering challenging expedition programmes consisting of sustainable conservation projects, language courses and teaching placements. Expeditions to Central and South America and Malaysia all benefit the host country and educate and inspire volunteers. A diverse range of programmes are offered, from one to five months long.
Conservation expeditions last for one or two months and focus on the completion of a challenging and worthwhile rainforest project, often in a remote location.
Trekforce also offer unique combination programmes which can involve the two month team-based project with additional phases such as learning Spanish for one month in a second country, and two months teaching in rural communities. Alternatively, the one month project expeditions can be extended with an optional trekking or adventure phase, the intensive Spanish course or a recognised PADI scuba diving course.
