Our society is 1200 members strong, and includes people from all walks of life and from all over the world. Over 60 top celebrities belong to our society including Paul McCartney, Michael Crawford, Edward Fox, Winston Churchill, Michael Winner, Twiggy, Dame Vera Lynn, Michael Howard MP, Bobby Charlton, Bill Beaumont, Mike Gatting, Henry Cooper, Ian Hislop, Barry Norman, Barbara Windsor, Geoff Hurst, Peter Snow, Angela Rippon, Eric Sykes, Jimmy Young, etc., etc. More importantly, most of the surviving Battle of Britain aircrew are also members.
We provide members with a popular monthly newsletter which is, amongst other things, a platform for members to air their views. We have an impessive array of merchandise much of which is most popular with existing members.
We have regular fund-raising events and/or presentations which are open to society members. The last was in the House of Commons and the next one (in March) will be in the House of Lords. Our tenth anniversary will be celebrated with a cruise along the River Thames in May 2006.
As can be seen from our websites, we have built a magnificent monument to the Few that is situated adjacent to Westminster Bridge, exactly opposite the London Eye.
