Survivors' Network (Sussex) Profile

Survivors Network was set up in 1990 to meet the needs of women who have experienced sexual abuse in childhood, and are now facing the long term consequences.
Survivors Network aims to support women survivors, with the emphasis on empowerment and self help.
Survivors Network is a voluntary organisation, offering services in Brighton and a National Helpline Service. The Network is a registered charity, grant aided by Brighton & Hove City Council, however more funds are needed to continue offering & developing our services. All donations are greatly appreciated.
Services we provide include;
Drop-in Service - Open on the first and third Thursday of every month from 7-9pm. Breaking the isolation and supporting women survivors to support each other. All women survivors welcome, contact Survivors office on 01273 203380 for location details.
Confidential Helpline Service - Our Helpline and Information line is open on a Wednesday and Friday evening from 7-9pm. Calls from survivors or their supporters are all welcome. The number is 01273 720110.
Facilitated Support Groups - Groups are run on a weekly basis for a period of ten weeks and are made up of eight women survivors and two facilitators. For more information and details of the next group, contact Survivors office on 01273 203380.
SpeakOut Newsletter - This a a quarterly publication containing articles written by and for survivors. There is also an opportunity for service users to become involved in publishing the SpeakOut. Contact the office for more information tel; 01273 203380
Professional Training - We offer training to individuals or organisations who are interested in learning more about survivors and the possible long term effects of sexual abuse. Call 01273 203380 for more details.
