SIMPLIFYING THE PLIGHT OF ORPHANS

Attention:Wood World Missions Partners
Being an orphan makes life miserable and tough. It can never be desired and its the last thing one would wish to experience.
Wood World Mission has made life easier and interesting for Malawi orphans.
During this years Mission trip, I came across young children. They were not orphans but amazingly they said they wish they were orphans. They were ignorant, weak and poorly dressed. They could not march the strong, bright and healthy orphans in the Missions orphanages. It was hard to believe that these kids were once malnutritioned and hopeless before Wood World Mission came to there rescue.
Most orphans who graduated at the orphan's pre school for government's primary school could not recite poems they used to do whilst at the orphanage.
This means that the mission school is far much ahead of the government schools in terms of quality.
The community wishes to have a primary school as well to keep the high standard of education to its orphans.
Please if there is any support you can give to this mission please do because they use whatever you donate to do just that I am a witness.

Dear Friend or Visitor,
This is Mercy Wood calling from Mitcham to say hi and also ask for help. I will be travelling to Malawi soon to feed ans also start maize farming for our orphanage centre, which will help them in a great deal. I am trying to raise £895.00 for the project, I am hoping if you can help us in anyway? May be through some small donation from friends etc.
Wood World Missions is a Christian Non- profit evangelistic, missions, charity Ministry worldwide. We preach with words but demonstrate it with practical support to the poor and needy. For the last 13yrs we have been assisting many needy people with our own funds, until 2000 when we officially registered with Charity Commission. Registration No: 1084001.
We returned from Malawi where we donated a free borehole (water pump) for the orphans as well as a village of about 200 or more.
We have been looking after 87 orphans in Malawi. Unfortunately our resources are very limited and so we are not able to do most things for them.
By Godís grace we have tried our best to provide them food, shelter, clothes, education and pay their medical bills.
If there is a regular support we will be able to feed the orphans and also help to meet some needs for them. Each orphan child needs 50p or $1 a day to feed and clothe him or her.
So we have come our to start this farming project to help them become self-support.
As in many areas of the country, Bwengu, Ngonga, Rumphi ,Boma area has been touched by the AIDS epidemic. The HIV/AIDS prevalence rate in Malawi is one of the highest in the world at 15 percent of the adult population. UNAIDS (2002) estimates that there are over 470, 000 AIDS orphans in Malawi. By integrating programs in food security and HIV/AIDS, the Wood world Missions hopes to better serve the most vulnerable, and create job ie-
Farming solutions to the communities' most urgent needs. We are setting up a maize farm to help the people in the community. This machine, which cost about £895 Ė£900, can provide maize 3 times in the year.
