St Christopher's Hospice is a world leader in care of the dying and those close to them - helping to improve the care of dying people and their families across the UK and worldwide.
St Christopher's provides skilled medical and nursing care for dying people, and support for their families and friends through illness and into bereavement.
We combine the highest standards of medical and nursing care with emotional, spiritual and practical support .
St Christopher's is dedicated to improving patient care through clinical research education and training, at both a national and international level. Our education and training programmes are forhospice and NHS health care professionals including doctors, nurses, social workers, physiotherapists and other carers.
We are experts in the area of bereavement in children and have developed this area of our work to include support for all children who have lost someone close to them.
St Christopher's cares for over 2,000 patients a year in south east London, Croydon and Bromley - around 500 patients at home on any one day.
St Christopher's is a registered charity and provides all its care free of charge to patients. It needs over £11 million each year to maintain its services and relies on donations and legacies to continue its vital work.
