Working in over 55 countries worldwide, Handicap International’s mission is to work with disabled people to make a positive difference to their lives. We provide both emergency relief and long term development support.
Over the last 23 years, Handicap International has developed a unique holistic approach to disability, working in the fields of:
- disability prevention, including landmine and cluster bomb clearance
- rehabilitation
- inclusion of disabled people
- capacity building of local and national associations
Handicap International is one of the founding members of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines, which was awarded the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize.
Handicap International UK is an independent UK-based non-governmental organisation (NGO), part of a wider federal movement.
