National Association of Writers' Groups (NAWG) Profile
The National Association of Writers' Groups (often abbrieviated to NAWG) was launched in 1995 and is currently the fastest growing national organisation for writers in the U.K.
There are currently 150 groups affiliated to NAWG nation wide and over 100 associate (individual) members.
NAWG aims to link writing groups and writers, promote all aspects of writing and provide encouragement and support for all writers from beginners to those at a professional level.
The association has its own bi-monthly magazine 'Link' which is edited by Mike Wilson.
A publishing arm 'NAWG Publications' has published several books by NAWG members on the subject of writing.
Other benefits of membership include free competitions for members covering a wide range of genres, an annual writing festival, an annual awards presentation ceremony, a directory of writers' groups and advice about legal matters, publication and typesetting.
