The Foundation for Conductive Education Profile

Conductive Education teaches children and adults with physical disabilities (eg cerebral palsy, dyspraxia, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, stroke and head injury how to overcome their movement problems to lead more independent, dignified and fulfilled lives. The Foundation runs a Centre of Excellence (the National Institute of Conductive Education) in Birmingham with a range of services for children aged 0-17 including a nursery and primary school; sessional services for adults; and training. The BA (Hons) CE three year degree (with the University of Wolverhampton) is the only conductor training at this level outside Hungary. We offer a range of one day workshops on disability related subjects. The OCN Level 3 accredited evening course - Working with Motor Disordered Children and Adults is unique to FCE.
