Launched in 2000, the Centre encourages curiosity about the world and features a permanent exhibition focussing on human life from our evolution through to the present day and how we are affected by contemporary science issues. A programme of touring exhibitions, live science shows, demonstrations and lectures promote understanding of a wide range of topics.
Over 30,000 school children are taught every year in our state-of-the-art laboratories and more than 40 curriculum-linked workshops covering all key stages are available.
The Centre is at the heart of a wider science village and sits alongside world-class research facilities and bioscience businesses.
