Inspired by the low cost and appropriate Jaipur Foot, DDP works with local partners (organisations of and for disabled people) to spread affordable mobility aids and appliances and sustainable rehabilitation to disadvantaged disabled children, women and men - many of them landmine survivors - in developing countries like Angola, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Bangladesh and India. DDP works in a holistic way, recognising the correlation between poverty and disability and the importance of tackling social, economic and human rights issues through access to income generation and education opportunities as well as providing physical rehabilitation services.
