Raleigh is a well established educational development charity committed to providing challenging experiences that develop skills and build confidence in young people. We have over 24 years history of creating memorable expeditions to Borneo, Costa Rica & Nicaragua, and India.
17-24 year olds can join as a venturer, whilst those aged 25+ can apply as volunteer managers to facilitate the expeditions (roles include project managers, mountain leaders, medics, photographers, logistics, finance managers, administrators, communications officers etc.)
A full expedition gives you the opportunity to complete 3 distinct projects: sustainable community and environmental projects, plus an adventure challenge. We work closely with the host country’s government, local and international organisations to ensure all projects directly benefit the lives of each community.
Join people from all over the world, including those from the host for a true mix of backgrounds, cultures and languages.
You will be living and working alongside local people for a true exchange of cultures, conserving their livelihood and environment, plus taking on an adventure challenge.
