The Foundation was set up by Chris Bingley after his wife committed suicide at the end of April 2010 as a result of severe postnatal depression; just 10 weeks after the birth of their baby. After his wife’s death Chris was left asking himself the same question that many others in his position had asked … WHY?
Chris's story is on our website for you to read, his passion to change things for families affected by postnatal depression has driven the development of the charity, its website and the information and support we provide. We are working with some of the leading people in the field of postnatal depression to effect change, tackle stigma, educate and support families affected by this debilitating condition. Chris has an ambition to ensure that no-one should suffer the way he and his wife Joanne did, at a time when they should have been celebrating the birth of their long awaited daughter, Emily.
